Crossing the border to Los Algodones from Yuma

Los Algodones sits directly across the border from Andrade, California, a short drive from Yuma, Arizona. The US side of the crossing is the Andrade port of entry at 235 Andrade Road, Winterhaven, CA 92283.
When the crossing is open
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) lists Andrade's hours as 6:00 am to 10:00 pm Pacific Time, every day. Hours have changed in the past, so check CBP's Andrade page before you travel.
Arizona and California do not always share the same clock. Arizona stays on Mountain Standard Time all year, so during daylight saving time Yuma matches Pacific Time, and in winter Yuma is an hour ahead of it. Build that into any appointment time and your return to the border.
Check the wait before you leave
CBP publishes live estimates on its Andrade wait times page. Lines to return to the US can be long, so leave a margin before the port closes.
What US citizens need to return
CBP accepts these documents from US citizens entering by land:
- US passport
- US passport card
- Enhanced driver's license
- Trusted Traveler card (NEXUS, SENTRI or FAST)
